Our Frequently Asked General Product Questions

How do I know which type of product to choose? (Example: Gummies, Oil Tinctures, Smokeables, Topical Creams)

You should consider what your goals and preferences are when taking a cannabis product. Topicals are best for on the spot pain relief. Smokeables, edibles, and tinctures can be used for all types of reasons, but they affect you in different ways. The effects from smokeables are felt instantly, but their effects don’t last as long as edibles or tinctures. Edibles and tinctures can take up to 2+ hours for the effects to be felt, but their effects can last upwards of 6 hours. Many of our gummies are vegan as well as our tinctures.

What is the difference between Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC?

Both Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC will produce a psychoactive high. Delta-9 THC is the predominant cannabinoid found in marijuana. Delta-8 THC is said to have slightly less potent effects than Delta-9 THC. This means that a 10mg Delta-9 THC gummy will be stronger than a 10mg Delta-8 THC gummy. The catch is that Delta-8 THC products are cheaper than Delta-9 THC products so you can get more for less.

How do I know how much to take/How do I know how to dose?

This question does not have one definite answer. We go by the saying: “start low and build up slow”. You can always take more, but you can never take less. For CBD, we suggest beginning with about 10-20mg. For THC we suggest beginning with 5mg. If you are using smokeables, try just 2 puffs and wait 30 minutes to see how you feel before taking more. If you are taking edibles, wait at least 3 hours before taking more. The classic mistake people make is taking an edible, feeling like it is not working, then taking more, then it all hits you at the same time. As we say: “start low and build up slow”.

Which gummy is best for me?

This is a very personal choice and depends on a number of factors. CBD gummies will not produce any high. Delta-9 THC gummies will produce a medium strength high, but they also contain 100mg of CBD in each gummy. Delta-8 THC and HHC Gummies are our strongest gummies and will produce a significant high. We suggest beginning with ⅕ of a gummy and waiting 6-8 hours before taking any more.

Our Frequently Asked Questions About CBD

What Is CBD?

CBD is used for the potential benefits associated with cannabis, but without any of the psychoactive “high”. Some use CBD for possibly helping with pain and inflammation, others use it for possibly helping with anxiety and stress, others for sleep, others for digestion, and some even use it to possibly help with weight loss. Your pets can also use CBD to possibly benefit them in the same way it possibly benefits you.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The EndoCannabinoid System (ECS) is a bodily system responsible for keeping all your physiological functions and responses in a balanced level of operation. This balanced state is known as homeostasis. The ECS plays a role in everything from appetite, to pain management, to level of focus, to mood, and more. It is made up of three parts: cannabinoids, cannabinoid receptors, and metabolic enzymes. Cannabinoids like CBD and THC are produced outside the body, but there are also cannabinoids produced inside the body (ex. 2-AG and AEA). Cannabinoids interact with cannabinoid receptors to provide your body with the benefits associated with cannabis use.

Is Thrive Flower CBD Legal to Purchase in All 50 states?

CBD was made federally legal via the Farm Bill (2018). Each state can decide if CBD is legal, but it is in all 50 states as long as the product contains less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC. Some types of products (smokeables or edibles) are illegal in certain states.

Will I Get "High" from CBD?

CBD does not produce the metabolite that marijuana drug tests look for. This is only produced by the cannabinoid THC. There can be trace amounts of THC in a CBD product so check lab-tests to ensure the levels of THC are below the legal limit of 0.3%.

Will I Fail a Drug Test Using CBD?

Thrive Flower CBD  is third-party laboratory tested and contains <0.3% THC. So no, you will not fail a drug test.

Will I Get Addicted to CBD?

CBD is completely non-addictive and healthy to use.

Where Do You Source Your CBD Oil From?

Thrive Flower CBD is made from organically grown hemp that is 3rd party tested by the best labs in the United States. Our CBD products are 100% free of any unnatural or artificial ingredients and we ensure we have the highest of quality CBD with lab tested products.

Is It Safe for Pets?

CBD products are entirely safe for pets and work with them the same way they do with you. Most common CBD products for pets are treats and oils. CBD can help you pet with anxiety from specific events like separation, car rides, vet visits, thunderstorms, and fireworks. It can also help your pet with overactivity, sleep, pain, and digestion.

How Much CBD Should I Start With?

Dosing with CBD is a bit different for everyone. Factors that affect how a dose of CBD will affect you include your metabolism, weight, consistency of use, and severity of affliction. For example, a heavier individual may require a larger dose to achieve the same benefits as their lighter counterparts. Same goes for those with more severe ailments. To find your perfect dose, we suggest starting with a low dose, about 10-20mg. Take note of how you feel over a 6-8 hour period. After that, if you feel like a higher dose would benefit you more, go for it. There is not such thing as an overdose of CBD, but at some point taking more just becomes redundant.

Where Does Thrive Flower Get Their CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is just one of over 113 different cannabinoids that make up the cannabis plant. Cannabis refers to both hemp and marijuana. All CBD products must legally use CBD extracted from hemp, not marijuana. CBD will not produce any sort of psychoactive “high”. Benefits of using CBD can include pain relief, anxiety and stress reduction, sleep aid, digestive health, and more.

Is CBD Safe for Kids?

Studies about the long term effects CBD use has on children are unfortunately lacking. Preliminary studies have suggested that it is safe for children to use CBD. The World Health Organization describes CBD as safe. Speak with your child’s physician before beginning any CBD use.

Can I Use CBD With Other Medications?

CBD may alter how slowly or quickly you metabolize certain medications. This is similar to the grapefruit warning label found on some medications. Before taking CBD with other medications, speak with your doctor.

Can I Use CBD While Pregnant or Breastfeeding?

It has been shown that CBD can pass from mother to child while pregnant and while breastfeeding. We do not suggest taking CBD while pregnant or breastfeeding.
